How can organizing your home help you grow past your trauma induced limitations_- trauma recovery

Seems a bit left field, I know.  But here me out- it’s pretty amazing.

I know very little about Feng Shui but I came across a Feng Shui concept a few years ago that made me take pause.  Feng Shui’s direct translation is wind water.

It is the study and practice of chi/qi/energy.  Which makes sense, thinking of the never-ending waves in both wind and water.  The concept I read was reminiscent of The Secret.  The Secret is a book and movie (must read/watch!) that can be surmised as a hyped up Law of Attraction.  Basically, clean out your closet, leaving some empty space to tell the universe you’re ready for more clothes or whatever.  At face value, it seems so silly.  What stopped me in my tracks was the flood of memories reading this dug up.  I have seen this play out in my life over and over.  Fascinating.

So, what does that have to do with emotional abuse/neglect, CPTSD, PTSD, Codependency, etc.?  A lot, actually.  Hoarding is a compulsion.

While a cluttered closet doesn’t mean you have a disorder, it may indicate certain underlying issues.  Tending to the surface (the cluttered closet) can make room in your psyche to be able to tend to some deeper, internal stuff.

Ready to try this out for yourself?  I mean, really, it’s a win-win.  Declutter your house and your emotional baggage?  Heck, yeah!

Click HERE to get the infographic I created to help you follow the exact steps I have (unwittingly) been practicing for years and to learn what your actions and behaviors are telling the universe.  Then step back and wait for the magic to happen…as you kick back with your feet up, warm cup of tea in hand, contented smile on your face and admire your sparkling home.  Good stuff…these are the little moments we live for.
